New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Office of Design and Construction proposed construction of a new State Police Headquarters
Facility. ASGECI was contracted to prepare sections of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the project in accordance with NJ Executive Order No. 215 including: a
description of the environment prior to the implementation of the project, probable environmental impact of project implementation, potential beneficial and adverse effects
of the project on aquatic biota and habitats, methods of mitigation of any adverse environmental impacts, and plans for avoidance of adverse environmental impacts. Information
on endangered and threatened wildlife and plant species was requested and reviewed for inclusion in the EIS. ASGECI performed a wetland delineation at the proposed project site.
Wetlands were identified at three locations. A successful application for NJ Freshwater Wetland General Permits (GP) No. 6 and 7 and a Transition Area Waiver, Special
Activity under GP No. 10 was prepared and submitted to NJDEP in accordance with the requirements of the New Jersey Freshwater Protection Act.
