This event will be held February 1-3 at Bally's Park Place Hotel & Casino, Atlantic City

The workshop will provide an introduction to wetland issues in

New Jersey. The ecological and economic values of wetlands will be

described. Methodology for identification and delineation of wetlands

will be presented. Applicable rules governing activities in freshwater, as

well as tidally influenced, wetlands will be presented. Newly adopted

revisions to the NJ Freshwater Wetlands rules will be described. Case

studies will be used to demonstrate the wetland approval process.

Participants should bring their questions and problem sites for analysis

and discussion.

TransAction 2006, the 30th Annual New Jersey State Transportation 

Conference and Expo

This event will be held April 10-12 at the Tropicana Resort & Casino, Atlantic City. The 

conference is co-sponsored by the NJ Department of  Transportation, NJ Transit, County

Transportation Officials Association of NJ, Port Authority of NY & NJ, NJ Council on 

Community & Special Transportation, and the state's three Metropolitan Planning 

Organizations. TransAction will feature concurrent sessions on rail freight, rail passenger

roads and bridges, ports, and more. An indoor expo will have more than 100 booths. Plus

there will be a networking reception, field trips, social activities, and over 50 workshops 

on 5 concurrent tracks on funding, planning, management, administration, and operations. 

Last year, over 900 transportation Managers/directors, planners, grant writers, operators, 

elected officials, municipal, county, and state representatives, consultants, and
